Our Roads in Bloomfield Village are Really Bad.
In the 60 years since our roads were paved, our neighborhood has added layer after layer of asphalt on the original roads as a short-term patch. Our roads are now about 40 years past their useful life.

What is the latest on the Roads Project?

-We will post here when the series of small group meetings to talk about the Roads project is restarted in early 2024. Check back for an updated schedule and an opportunity to sign up to attend.
Pink and Blue sections: Bloomfield Township will hold the final public hearing for these SADS on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 7 pm at the Township Hall. We expect the Board will give final approval at that meeting; construction would start in early May.
Gold, Yellow and Green sections: We are working with the Road Commission and Bloomfield Township to lay out a schedule for the petition processes for these sections. We anticipate we will start petitioning for Gold and Yellow in June, with the goal of reconstructing roads in those sections starting Spring 2025. Green section roads are still planned for 2026 construction.
