Our Roads in Bloomfield Village are Really Bad.
In the 60 years since our roads were paved, our neighborhood has added layer after layer of asphalt on the original roads as a short-term patch. Our roads are now about 40 years past their useful life.

What is the latest on the Roads Project?
Informational small group meetings started again in August 2024. These meetings are designed for those in the Gold, Yellow and Green sections to obtain information about the project and the SAD process as they evaluate whether to sign the petitions in support of the project. Current dates are Wednesday, October 16th (7-8 pm), Wednesday, October 23 (7-8 pm), Thursday, October 24 (10-11 am), Monday, November 18 (7-8 pm), and Thursday November 21 (7-8pm). Pink and Blue sections: The final asphalt was laid on November 11. Final concrete work on walks and ADA ramp will be completed before Thanksgiving. Restoration work on sprinklers and lawns will continue through the end of November (or early December) weather permitting. Construction. Gold, Yellow and Green sections: 52% of the residents in the Gold section residents have signed petitions in support of fixing their roads. We hope to complete the Yellow section petitions before Thanksgiving. Residents wishing to sign the petitions can stop by the Village offices during office hours at left.
