Our Roads in Bloomfield Village are Were Really Bad.
In the 60 years since our roads were originally paved, our neighborhood added layer after layer of asphalt on the original roads as a short-term patch. Our roads are were 30-40 years past their useful life.
As of December 2025, new roads have been completed in about 80% of the Village. And we are on our way to finishing the job - on April 27, 2026, Bloomfield Township approved the Green section SAD for 2026 construction! This will complete once-in-a-lifetime transformation of our neighborhood roads.

What is the latest on the Roads Project?
* The Green Section SAD was unanimously approved by the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees on April 27, 2026. F. Allied Construction was the lowest qualified bidder and was awarded the contract for the project. Construction will likely begin in May. *Pink and Blue sections are now complete. Refunds have been issued where the assessment had already been paid in full. See further discussion HERE.
*Gold and Yellow sections: Restoration work and pipe lining that could not be completed before the snow came last fall (2025) will resume this spring, as soon as the contractor can source the topsoil and sod needed to finish the work.
