Our Roads in Bloomfield Village are Were Really Bad.

In the 60 years since our roads were originally paved, our neighborhood added layer after layer of asphalt on the original roads as a short-term patch.  Our roads are were about 40 years past their useful life.

As of December 2025, new roads have been completed in about 80% of the Village. And we are on our way to approval of the SAD in the Green section, which will complete once-in-a-lifetime transformation of our neighborhood with Summer 2026 construction.

What is the latest on the Roads Project?

* Green Section petitions have been completed and signatures validated by Bloomfield Township. After the February 9, 2026 public hearing, the Bloomfield Township trustees approved moving the project forward, requesting the Road Commission to bid the Green section project and scheduling the second public hearing for April 27, 2026.
