Construction Update - Pink and Blue Sections - 12/4/24

Blue Section Update

Landscape and sprinkler repairs

The landscape contractor continues to work through sprinkler repairs and landscape restoration work in the Blue section. Restoration work includes laying topsoil and sod in the areas damaged by the construction process. This process will likely continue into mid-December, as long as the weather permits.

The contractor is also continuing to repair sprinkler damage from the construction. Since residents have already winterized their sprinkler systems, the contractor will not be able to test any sprinkler repairs completed now. The contractor will return in the spring to perform any repairs of construction damage identified when residents re-charge their irrigation systems.

In the spring, the landscape contractor will also replace any sod that doesn’t “take” and will complete other repairs needed for damage caused by the road construction.

Residents have the option to have their sprinkler systems and/or landscaping repaired by their own contractors, but will not be reimbursed for the cost of doing so.

Structure lining

ART is completing its work lining the last few drainage structures in the Blue section. This work should be completed by the end of the week.

Construction signage, etc.

Over the next few weeks, Ajax will be removing signage/barricades and other construction items once they are no longer required on site.

Pink Section Update

Sprinkler repair and landscape restoration has been largely completed in the Pink section. Over the next week or two, the contractor will be working through “punch list” items that can ben completed now (versus in the spring). Ajax will also be removing signage/barricades, port-a-potties and other construction items from the section.

Road Commission contact information

Residents of both the Pink and Blue sections should email Wayne Dabrowski of the Road Commission, wdabrowski@rcoc.org, regarding any sprinkler or landscape repairs needed. Work that cannot be completed before the weather turns will be added to the punch list for the spring.
