BLUE section revised paving schedule - week of September 30

Ajax has revised the paving schedule for the western part of the Blue section this week, to reflect additional time needed to grade some of the streets. The revised paving schedule:

Wednesday October 2 - Burning Bush

Thursday October 3 — Ardmoor and Hupp Cross

Week of October 7, dates TBD — Wooddales, Half Moon, Roland and Tuckahoe

Grading will continue for the remainder of the week on Burning Bush, Ardmoor and Hupp Cross (up to the paving day), then on Half Moon, Wooddale Road, Wooddale Court, and then Roland and Tuckahoe.

As a reminder, streets being paved will be completely closed to all traffic, and residents will not be able to get into or out of their driveways until the asphalt is sufficiently cooled and the street is reopened. Paving is a full-width operation, and there can be no parking on the street at any time during the process. Vehicles parked on the street after 7 am on the paving day will be towed. See parking suggestions below.

During the grading process, there can be no street parking; any vehicle parked in the street at any time during this process is subject to towing. Streets being graded will be open to traffic, but residents should expect delays. It will also be helpful to minimize traffic during the grading process. This will help the contractor get the sub-grade prepared for the asphalt (traffic can cause damage to the sub-grade that requires additional work), and will reduce congestion in the section.

Parking suggestions during paving and grading

Given that paving and grading will be taking place simultaneously in the western part of the Blue section, parking options are limited. The best options will be on the northern part of Ardmoor that is not in the Village, or on the streets south of Bradway (Overhill, Hupp Cross, Tuckahoe, Sunnydale). Residents are advised not to park on Bradway on the paving days, as it will be very congested with asphalt trucks staged to supply the paving work. Bus stops for the Blue section are also on Bradway, which adds to the congestion.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as the road work moves into this next critical phase of the project.
