Paving in BLUE section moved to Thursday/Friday this week

Paving in the eastern section originally planned for Tuesday 10/22 and Wednesday 10/23 has been changed to Thursday 10/24 and Friday 10/25. As indicated in last week’s blog post, the paving schedule depends on the condition of the sub-base and how much work is necessary to prepare it for asphalt. Most likely, paving will start on Glengarry Circle West and work south, however, the specific order is not yet determined. As a reminder, during paving, the street will be closed to ALL traffic and parking. Residents will not be able to get into or out of their driveways until the paving is complete and the asphalt has cooled sufficiently to allow the road to be reopened (most likely several hours after the asphalt is laid).

Residents will receive notices on their front doors about 36-48 hours in advance of paving. If you need to get out of your driveway on the paving day, you will want to park your vehicle outside of the paving zone the night before. Parking suggestions: N. Glengarry, Glengarry Circle East, or the blocks of Williamsbury, Hamilton or Overhill south of Bradway. PLEASE don’t park on Bradway west of Glengarry. There just isn’t enough space for the asphalt trucks and milling equipment to navigate the turns into Overhill, Hamilton and Williamsbury (the trucks have to back into the street) when there are asphalt trucks staged on Bradway AND vehicles parked there.

Please keep an eye on the Roads website for updates to the paving schedule.
